Outdoorsman Class Descriptions
Field Navigation 4 hrs.
Focus in this training is on the proper use of GPS, as well as Map and Compass navigation, learning the skills to figure out where you are and then getting to where you want to be.
Shelter Construction 8 hrs.
Multiple practices in shelter construction with multiple materials and environments and conditions, for short and long term survival, from debris shelters to state of the art, aboriginal to modern, principles and techniques that will help you survive anywhere, from the Alaska outback to Desert, Wooded or Jungle environments.
Fire Skills 4 hrs.
Multiple practices in fire building skills, tools, materials, tender bundles, wet environments, waterproof fires, where to look, how to harvest, what to carry, etc. All training focused on the ability to be able to create a heat source, short term or long term, anytime, anywhere.
Equipment Selection 4 hrs.
This course help everyone learn more about not just "cool" equipment for hiking, boating, biking, camping, etc., but specifically why and how to choose the proper pack and equipment for your personal needs, don't make the mistake of buying gear first and then learning where and when and how to use it, let REACT help you formulate your plan, discover your needs and choose the right gear to fit those needs.
Food and Water Procurement and Preparation 4 hrs.
Discussions and training on filtering systems and methods, pasteurizing, sanitizing, and more.Tools, equipment, natural elements, techniques and knowledge to discover, create and utilize water sources.
Completion of all of the MODULE classes, qualifies you for our

Game Hunter Class Descriptions
(centerfire rifle, black powder or bow)
Game Biology and Hunt Planning 4 hrs.
Learn about behaviors, seasons, food, water, bedding, tracking, etc. from a master hunter who can help you understand what to look for to FIND areas and the game animals you want to hunt.
Stalking and Stand Hunting 4 hrs.
Once you have located an area or spotted the animals you wish to hunt, now learn techniques to get within range, either by setting a stand where movement will occur or "sneaking" in to position using techniques and knowledge to get where you need to be.
Field Shooting Skills 4 hrs.
Safe movement skills, multiple field shooting positions, ranging, knowing your backstops, caliber and ammo choices, "kill zones", stationary and moving targets, carry methods.
Field Dressing and Meat Processing 8 hrs.
Now that you have your animal down, how to properly field dress and skin the animal to assure cleanliness and protect the meat for safe eating, then once it's home, how to butcher and package your meat for freezing and storage.
